2010 – 2014

St Margarets Anglican Girls School

Sophie began at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School in 2010, when starting Grade 8. She continued at St Margaret’s until graduating in grade 12, 2014. Whilst studying at St Margaret’s Sophie completed my Queensland Certificate of Education, Royal Lifesaving Bronze medallion, Surf Life-saving Bronze Medallion.

In grade 12, Sophie studied six OP eligible subjects for 6 months before dropping down to 5 OP eligible subjects due to her sporting commitments. The subjects studied included, English, Biology, Health and Physical education, Mathematics A, Home Economics and Business Organisation Management.

Whilst at St Margaret’s, Sophie was fortunate enough to be chosen as a prefect to help lead the school. This is a prestigious role in the school in helping instill the beliefs and values of a ‘Maggie’s girl’. She was also elected as Cross Country captain and a member of the Dragonette spirit team. During her five years at St Margaret’s Sophie was involved in many extra-curricular including swimming, athletics, cross country, hockey, and lifesaving. Sophie reached the equivalent of the top level in each sport within grade 12. Along with the extra-curricular sports she received age champion and best and fairest awards. In 2012/2013 Sophie was lucky enough to receive the honorary award of the highest sports women in the school.

2015 – 2015

Queensland University of Technology

Bachelor of Design (honours) Landscape Architecture

Completed 1 year at QUT studying part-time. Sophie really enjoyed her time studying landscape architecture and found it very interesting. Whilst studying at QUT she was a part of the Elite Athlete program, where gained entry into via her sporting achievements in high school. However, due to her sporting commitments, it was decided that if Sophie wanted to study and compete in sport at a high level she needed to be studying a more flexible degree.

2016 – 2022

Griffith University

Bachelor of Business

At the present time, Sophie is studying a bachelor of Business at Griffith University in Brisbane. Sophie is fortunate that Griffith offers a mixed mode style of learning that allows her to part-take in subjects on campus when she is home and online subjects whilst away. Sophie is thoroughly looking forward to what the future holds in my time studying at Griffith.
